Case Studies- For HR

Getting More From Less: Optimising Your People Capital

How can we get more from our team of 150 without increasing costs, risking turnover of employees, or destroying the great culture that has been built over the past 8 years?

Our client, a leading Real Estate Agency throughout the United Kingdom, needed to get “more with less” in terms of their people capital. Having tried numerous consultants previously, a traditional approach for “high performance” was not working.

In less than 6 months, efficientr discovered the key weaknesses in their performance chain. We worked with the agency to implement an entire new system which would align management and leadership, enable each department to own its function, and to drive a greater performance environment which led to the workforce working at an improved capacity of at least 25%.

New Tech Systems for Better HR

There are many different tools, systems, technology and providers available for HR departments to improve the way they operate and function.

Our client is a global supply chain and logistics provider, who had a team of over 100 HR professionals throughout the UK, Europe and MENA region. The issue? How can we demonstrate the value of HR and deliver at a better rate with less budget committed?

Immediately, efficientr analysed all the technology used by the HR department and found immediate cost and functional efficiencies. We then implemented new tools that optimised the workload across the HR department in the multiple regions. The results have been proven and significant: the HR department operates at a ‘new level’ compared to before as a consequence of new systems that reduce the manual workload.

Lockdown Your Talent Retention Strategy

Retention is often cited as the most significant issue facing the department of HR. Retaining a workforce is exceptionally difficult, especially in competitive industries, which included our financial services client based in London.

Whilst the team had implemented many initiatives for their talent retention strategy, via efficientr, we produced a brand new live reporting system that could accurately predict their retention rates throughout the year. This system provides actionable information for the HR department which reduces turnover and provides early indicators of when retention efforts might be failing. To date, the client has seen falling turnover rates in their workforce on a consistent quarter-by-quarter basis, and directly attributes our involvement to their positive retention rates.

A More Effective Digital HR Function

We received an influx of client requests during 2021 and 2021 as Covid 19 took its full, negative, effect. Many traditional in-person HR departments suddenly had to become digital.

In less than one month, efficientr can ascertain exactly what in-person functions were needed to be digitised. We then worked with each client to implement new systems, processes, tools and operational frameworks which empowered the HR department to exceed in their role in a virtual environment.

We worked with a healthtech start-up based in Cambridge, UK, which transitioned to a fully virtual setup that was optimised to maximum efficiency.

If your HR function is struggling in a virtual environment, be sure to contact us to discuss further.
